    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: 26 June 2026

This page explains how Click Boosters collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our website or our services. It is written in plain English to be genuinely useful, not to serve as a legal certification. If anything is unclear, email info@clickboosters.co.uk and we will explain it properly.

    1. Who we are

Click Boosters is a UK-based SEO agency that works with tradespeople, operated as a sole trader. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, the data controller for the personal information you share with us is Jacob Garner trading as Click Boosters.

    • Business name: Click Boosters (a trading name of Jacob Garner)
    • Contact email: info@clickboosters.co.uk
    • Postal address: Available on request by emailing the address above.

    2. Information we collect

We only collect what we need. That includes:

    • Information you give us through our forms — such as your name, email address, phone number, trade, website, and any message you send.
    • Email and other correspondence — what you send us and our replies.
    • Technical and usage information — collected automatically by analytics tools, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, referring website, and approximate location based on your IP address. This does not usually identify you personally.
    • Cookie preferences — the choices you make through our cookie banner.

We do not collect any special category data (such as health, ethnicity, or political opinions), and we ask that you do not send us any through our forms.

    3. How we use your information

    We use your information to:

    • Reply to your enquiry and arrange your free intro call.
    • Deliver the services you have signed up for, including reporting, account management, and the work itself.
    • Operate, secure, and improve our website and understand how visitors use it.
    • Send occasional updates about our services — only where you have agreed, or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so. You can opt out at any time, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

    4. Lawful basis for processing

Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your data. We rely on:

    • Consent — when you submit a form or opt in to marketing.
    • Contract — when we process data to deliver paid work you have engaged us for.
    • Legitimate interests — for running, securing, and improving our business, where this does not override your rights and freedoms.

    5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your data, ever. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as needed. These may include providers of:

    • Email and hosting (for example, Microsoft 365 and our website host)
    • Website analytics
    • CRM and customer management tools
    • Form and scheduling tools

These providers process data on our instructions under appropriate data processing agreements. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

    6. International data transfers

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your data is protected to a standard equivalent to UK law — for example, by relying on UK adequacy regulations or by using approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or Standard Contractual Clauses. If you would like more detail on a specific provider, email us.

    7. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies:

    • Essential cookies that make the website function and remember your cookie choices.
    • Analytics cookies that help us measure how the site is used so we can improve it.

When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser or adjusting your browser settings to block or delete them. Essential cookies cannot be switched off as the site will not work properly without them.

    8. How long we keep your information

We keep personal data only as long as we need it:

    • Enquiries that do not become clients: kept for up to 12 months so we can respond and follow up, then deleted.
    • Client data: kept for the duration of our engagement and for 6 years afterwards, to meet accounting, tax, and legal obligations.
    • Marketing contacts: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

    9. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

    • Access the personal data we hold about you.
    • Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
    • Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
    • Restrict or object to how we use it.
    • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
    • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@clickboosters.co.uk. We will respond within one month, as required by law. If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or call their helpline on 0303 123 1113.

    10. Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for business owners and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.

    11. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and using vetted service providers. No online system is ever perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you and the ICO of any breach where we are required to do so.

    12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.

    13. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data? Email info@clickboosters.co.uk and we will help.
